Introduction

I am happy to share my professional journey—a narrative that spans over four decades in the engineering and IT industries, enriched by a deep commitment to community service and digital innovation.

Early Career and Engineering Experience

My professional journey began in the engineering sector, where I held various senior strategic and line management positions. During this period, I executed large-scale engineering projects for multinational companies, working in consortium with global partners and navigating the complexities of multicultural teams. These experiences laid a strong foundation for my transition into the IT industry.

Transition to IT and SAP Expertise

The turning point in my career came with my move into IT, where I specialized in SAP solutions. My expertise grew in reviewing and aligning clients' existing business processes with SAP products and third-party solutions. Over the years, I became adept in SAP presales, solution design, implementation, training, and service delivery, executing projects across various verticals and a global customer base.

Some of the industries I served include Automotive, Media, Utilities, Public Sector, Pharmaceuticals, Transport, Finance & Insurance, Food & Beverages, and Software. This diverse exposure enriched my professional portfolio and deepened my understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions.

Professional Highlights

• Siemens Information Systems Ltd.: I retired as a SAP Global Solution Architect in October 2010, after a fulfilling career that included roles such as Head of Sales Support (India) for Global Application Management Services, and Service Delivery Manager at Siemens PLC, UK.

• Access Information Systems Pvt. Ltd.: As Executive Director, I led software export operations, providing business solutions to clients in Indonesia and the Middle East.

• Schenectady India Ltd.: As Marketing Manager, I was responsible for all-India sales and marketing functions for electrical insulating systems, resins, and chemicals.

• Shamvik Glasstech Ltd.: As General Manager, I managed project exports, global trading, and sales and marketing of glass container manufacturing machinery.

Countries Visited for Professional Endeavors:

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of traveling extensively for business negotiations, engineering plant installation, commissioning and training, and SAP project implementation. These journeys took me across the globe, providing invaluable experiences working with multicultural and multi-language speaking teams.

My professional travels included (17) countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, China, Russia, Ukraine, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Dubai.

These international experiences not only broadened my professional horizons but also enriched my cultural understanding and interpersonal skills, enabling me to successfully lead and collaborate with diverse teams.

My professional journey is supported by various certifications in project management (Prince 2), virtual teams, and IT service management. I had picked up a few conversational skills in Russian but evaporated over time.
